Use the guidelines below to develop a personal tornado safety plan for you and your family.  Remember, you need to have a plan for wherever you may be when a tornado strikes - at home, at school, at work, on the road or in a public building.

Your first step to surviving a tornado is to develop a plan before storms are on the horizon.

Know Where To Shelter

You must be able to get to your safe shelter area quickly and that it’s easily accessible. You may only have seconds to act!

<aside> 💡 If you do not have reliable shelter or you live in a mobile home, make plans to stay with someone else or make use of public storm shelters/tornado safe rooms.

4. mobile.weather.gov
5. Social Media
6. Local Radio Stations
7. Local TV Stations
8. Outdoor Sirens (only if outdoors)
